Even the most experienced makeup users occasionally face something we’ve all struggled with before: There are too many makeup brushes.
How do you know when to use a brush or a sponge, which brushes are best for different techniques, and how can you possibly keep them all clean? Recently, I found a brush that tops all others when it comes not only to makeup application, but skincare as well, and that is the Artis Palm Brush Mini.
A scaled-down version of the Artis Palm Brush Elite, the Palm Brush Mini features incredibly densely packed and silky-soft fibers that spread and buff products with ease. It also has a grip pad and finger indent for easy control, comfort, and stability.
This brush is extremely versatile. It works with liquid, cream, and powder formulas with everything from full-face foundations, concealers, and both press and loose powders to contouring blushes, highlighters, and bronzers. The most impressive part is how well it works with skincare products, too!
Because of its small size, this brush gets into the small areas of the face while still being able to cover larger areas without a significant amount of effort. Also, it’s perfect for travel when you might need a little touchup.
When I first got this brush, I was hesitant to believe the hype. The first bit of quality that started to sway my mind, however, is how incredibly soft the bristles are; it’s like running your finger over a cloud!
The second thing, of course, was how well it applies makeup. I prefer to use this brush as a base makeup applicator for my foundation and concealers. I love how easily it not only spreads the color but also how evenly and seamlessly it buffs it into my skin; I think it works even better than a regular makeup sponge. It creates a gorgeous natural and airbrushed finish that’s so hard to replicate.
Also, because the bristles are so densely packed, you can use less product per application, which ends up looking more natural and saving a lot of money in the long run.
Whether you need something for skincare or you have trouble getting your foundation to look just right, I can’t recommend this brush enough.
