Fifteen reasons a brush like this had to be built from nothing.
Artis did not set out to improve the makeup brush. It set out to replace the material it is made from. CosmeFibre is engineered fibre, not hair, and almost everything below follows from that one decision.
Uniform application
CosmeFibre has a uniform structure and tapered ends, so it lays product down more evenly than animal hair. A single Artis bundle carries three to ten times the fibre count of a conventional brush.
Consistent quality
Every fibre is identical before it is shaped. Every bundle is then assembled by hand, so what leaves the bench matches what left it yesterday.
More durable
Metal alloys, engineered resins, plated finishes, and durable monofilaments. The materials were chosen for how they behave after a year, not on the shelf.
Application control
Textured grip pads on the handle hold the brush steady in the hand, which is what lets you place product exactly where you meant to.

Built for your own face
Fibre alignment and the tilted handle are designed around self-application. Most brushes are shaped for an artist working on somebody else.
Modern construction
There is no metal ferrule. The fibres sit perpendicular to the skin, so the tips stay in contact through the whole stroke instead of dragging on their sides.
Comfortable in the hand
The curved handle follows the shape of the hand, which matters more than it sounds when you are working close to the eye.
Gentle feel
Tips are measured in microns. Fine enough to work over the thinnest skin on the face without irritation.
No ferrule. The bundle sits perpendicular to the skin, and the body is shaped to be held rather than gripped.
Wear resistant
In a 48-hour laboratory test against a prestige brush and a mass-market brush, the Artis brush came through undamaged. Both of the others showed broken and split hair.
Chemically resistant
Water, alcohol, acids, and detergent leave the fibre unchanged. You can clean an Artis brush properly, and often, without shortening its life.
Helps avoid sensitivities
One hundred percent animal-free. Roughly one person in ten reacts to animal hair, and a brush is held against the face for years.
Retains its shape
Shape-memory fibre. If a brush is crushed in a case or bent out of line, hot water or steam brings the head back to form.
Micron-fine tips. The scale that makes precision work possible is the same scale that makes blending invisible.
Efficient use of product
Product is held between the fibre tips rather than soaking along the length of the fibre. Far less of what you paid for stays inside the brush, which is why an Artis brush needs about half the product.
Superior blending
Micron-fine tips work at a scale the eye cannot resolve. Edges disappear rather than softening.
UV resistant
Sunlight will not degrade the fibre. A brush left on a windowsill is still the brush you bought.
