Spotted in Huda Kattan’s beauty videos—and on our Instagram feeds—the Artis brush is a revolutionary beauty tool used by professional makeup artists and celebrities worldwide.

Discussing the importance of makeup application, Matthew Waitesmith, the founder of Artis and a M.A.C former senior vice president said, “The same set of products can give a result that looks like a glamorous cover of a magazine, or make someone look like a circus clown.” It was this notion that spurred Waitesmith to change the way we apply makeup and he developed his own line of makeup brushes.

The Elite, Mirror, Ten Brush Set (US $355; 1,304 AED/SAR) is the first Artis collection to offer 10 different brushes, and was developed for the application of concealer and foundation—as well as blush, bronzer, and eyeshadow. All of the brushes are made from synthetic fibers with tapered ends, and contain three to 10 times as many fibers as other makeup brushes. “You don’t need to keep picking up and applying more and more product, and you don’t need to keep bouncing the brush up and down onto the skin in short strokes,” Waitesmith emphasized. “You just need to relax, and glide the fibers continuously across the skin’s surface lightly and gently. Like the brush is ice skating or floating on the surface of your skin,” he added.
