Accessibility Statement

Artis wants byartis.com to work for everyone who wants to buy a brush, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or voice control. This page says where we are, what we know is imperfect, and how to tell us when something blocks you.

The standard we work to

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. That is the benchmark referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act guidance and by the European Accessibility Act, and it is what we hold new work against.

We have not yet completed a third-party audit, so we do not claim full conformance. Saying otherwise would be easy and dishonest.

What we have done

• Text and background colors are checked for contrast against the AA threshold.
• Product photography carries alternative text describing the brush, not the file name.
• The site can be operated by keyboard alone, and focus is visible as it moves.
• Headings, lists, and landmarks are marked up so a screen reader can move through a page by structure.
• Form fields and buttons carry labels that say what they do.
• Layouts reflow at 200 percent zoom and on small screens without horizontal scrolling.
• Motion is kept minimal, and animation respects the reduced-motion setting in your operating system.

Known limitations

Some third-party components on the site, such as the checkout and any embedded review or chat tools, are built by their vendors and are outside our direct control. We test them, we report problems upstream, and we will replace a component that cannot be fixed.

Older press coverage and PDFs linked from this site were produced by third parties and may not meet the same standard. If you need the content of one of those in an accessible format, ask us and we will get it to you.

Tell us when something does not work

If any part of this site blocks you, we want the specific detail, since that is what lets us fix it rather than guess. Useful things to include are the page address, what you were trying to do, and the browser and assistive technology you were using.

If you cannot complete a purchase on the site, call that number and we will take the order over the phone.

Feedback and review

This statement is reviewed at least once a year, and whenever the site changes substantially. Regarding anything you report to us, we will tell you what we found and what we are doing about it.
